Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is an ethical and sustainable eco-tourism project. The sanctuary was founded in July 2014 in the area of Chiang Mai after concerns were raised for the local population of elephants. The Karen Hill-Tribes and Chiang Mai locals are joining to come up with a solution to help maintain the healthy population of elephants located throughout Thailand. Elephant Jungle Sanctuary specializes in looking after injured and mistreated elephants which have been rescued from all areas of Thailand.

Itinerary

Half Day Visit Programs:
MORNING: 6.30am - 12.00pm :: AFTERNOON 12.30- 06.30pm

Pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Phuket (if applicable – fees apply).
Arrive at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Phuket. Enjoy a welcome snack, sip tea or coffee, and learn about elephants as you are given an introduction to our program.
Assist with the preparation of natural dietary supplements for the elephants.
Meet the elephants. Feed them and administer dietary supplements as you learn their stories. Play, interact, and take photos with the elephants in a natural setting.
Mud spa with the elephants.
Swim with the elephants before joining them in our specially constructed outdoor ‘Elephant Shower’
Use our facilities to take a (regular) shower, dry off, and change clothes.
Eat a lunch of traditional Thai food and seasonal fruit. 10:45 am
Participate in our unique ‘DIY Poop Paper’ recycled paper activity, before saying goodbye to the friendly elephants.
Leave the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and drive for approximately 1 hour back through spectacular island scenery.
Drop off at your hotel or accommodation (if applicable).

Program One Day Walk With Elephants: 7 am - 4 pm

Pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Phuket (if applicable – fees apply).
Arrive at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Phuket. Enjoy a welcome snack, sip tea or coffee, and learn about elephants as you are given an introduction to our program.
Set out into the jungle where you will learn more about our rescues.
Eat a meal of traditional Thai food.
Assist with the preparation of natural dietary supplements for the elephants.
